~Plot Synopsis~
Star Alma Rubens, as Annie Marnet, is not one of the thoughtless women of the title; rather, it's Annie's
mercenary mother (Marceita Esmond), who doesn't take her daughter's feelings into consideration.
Annie doesn't mind her meager surroundings in the slightest but Mrs. Marnet lusts after wealth so she
encourages a union between Annie and Basil Boulton (Robert Williams), who comes from a rich family.
But Basil's mother and sister (the other thoughtless women) disapprove of the marriage and their
treatment of Annie causes her to run away. Eventually she is allowed to obtain a divorce and she finds
happiness with John Hewitt (Lumsden Hare), who was originally meant for Basil's sister.
