Augustus Martinot, at 43 a renowned pianist fascinated by women but with an understanding wife, meets
Delphine Hart, impressionable wife of a physician. In the mutual agreement that they are soul mates she
induces him to take her to his mountain cabin for a weekend. Dr. Hart and Mrs. Martinot follow, and
pretending to agree to the exchange of partners they shock Martinot and Delphine into reality. Each
couple is reconciled.
