~Plot Synopsis~
When her father loses his money in the stock market, Sybil Lawton (Evelyn Greeley) graduates from
amateur actress to professional thespian. She joins a company that does Shakespearean plays runs by
Stewart Thrall (Robert Elliott). His own wife is an aspiring actress of dubious talent who has long
resented Stewart's accurate assessment of her shortcomings. Sibyl and Stewart begin to fall in love just
as his wife returns from Europe with a bill of divorcement.
