~Biography~
Mary Pickford's tenement beau in the charming "Amarilly of Clothesline Ally," handsome William Scott
was the brother of silent screen ingenue Mabel Julienne Scott. Onscreen from the late 1910s and often
featured in Westerns, Scott usually played the heroine's weakling brother. He retired from screen work
in the mid-'30s.
