~Plot Synopsis~
Bob White, a charter member of "The Night Club," a loose organization of avowed bachelors, finally
decides to marry, only to be left standing at the altar. Bob then learns that he will inherit $1 million if he
marries Grace Henderson, but he has become a misogynist and goes into seclusion. Bob later meets
Grace by chance, and, not knowing who she is, he falls in love with her. When Grace learns his
identity, she believes that he has professed his love with the intention of marrying her for the money,
and she spurns him. Learning that Grace will inherit the million if he dies, Bob attempts to kill himself.
He eventually proves his love to Grace, and, after an encounter with a bandit, she consents to marry
him.
